Pro's & Con's of Sanding Your Guitar Neck

I've played many guitars where the lacquer on the back of the neck didn't give the that warm and fuzzy feeling I was looking for. I've become a fan of the feel of bare wood as opposed to that thicker finish on the back of a neck we sometimes see. So I thought we could discuss the Pro's and Con's of sanding down a guitar neck for that nice smooth feel. 

The Olympic White Telecaster Build. Final Reveal 

Here is the final reveal for the Olympic White Telecaster project. It turned out great! The Tele not only sounds very nice but it feels just right too. Overall I am very happy with it and wanted to share the results with you.

American PRS SC245 Vs Korean Import Zack Myers PRS Sound Shootout 

We are looking at two PRS guitars. A USA made SC245 and a Korean made Zack Myers import and asking if the higher value USA model is significantly better than a lower priced import. 

Our sound samples are recorded with an SM57 mic and the guitars were played into a Fender supersonic 22 with a Celestian A type speaker.

I would like to note that the Zack Myers PRS has Sanford Magnetics V68 low output pickups while the SC245 has stock pickups.

As you can probably tell, this is a really quick video of the solo section of AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long". 

I'm using a Sterling Music Man AX40, and a Marshall JCM2000 through a 412 Marshall Cabinet at room level with no effects.
